Compliance Engineer (Electronic Products)

Pyronix is a world-leading manufacturer of electronic security equipment for use in residential, commercial and industrial applications in the intruder alarm market. We design a wide range of multi-award-winning wired and wireless intruder alarm solutions, utilising market-leading technologies developed exclusively by our in-house R&D team.

The Role

Reporting to the R&D Director and liaising closely with the team involved in new product introduction, you will ensure that all company products comply with the relevant European standards and directives and applicable international certification standards.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing the R&D Director / Technical Team with advice on issues of Compliance and Certification. The creation and maintenance of all EU Declarations of Conformity. Providing advice on EMC, Safety and design and implementation matters to all company departments. Organising, liaising and overseeing all testing being carried out internally and also at external Test facilities.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Ability to organise and coordinate Compliance / Certification Programmes in accordance with Project Plans
  • Support all intrusion products with Product Standards and Legislative expertise to achieve best outcomes for Compliance and the Business
  • Contribute to Standards and Legislative programmes via the companies membership of Trade Associations and representing the Business
  • Manage appropriate documentation of Compliance / Certification Results and Conclusions
  • Run the operation of our internal test equipment and processes
  • Support the design team around existing and new product design skills
  • Previous experience in a relevant Standards and Approvals role
  • Industry knowledge and experience ideally Electronics
  • New Product Design Experience

  • Can work methodically with excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Be proactive and able to manage own workload with a view to continuous improvement within the wider team

Desirable Skills

Qualified to HNC/D in an Engineering discipline.
