Cable Tie | 电缆扎匝

Plastic, metal or nylon strapping used for binding or bundling cables together or holding them in place. Several styles of tie-wraps are available; cinching, hole-mounted, adhesive closure etc.

Camera | 摄像头

A device that allows for visual verification of alarms. Usually consists of a motion sensor that triggers a video recording and an alarm to the ARC if motion is detected.

Cellular Alarm Monitoring | 蜂窝报警监控

A type of alarm communication path that uses the digital cellular network to send an alarm signal from the control panel to the Monitoring Center. The benefits of cellular monitoring are that no phone line is needed and there is no chance of a criminal cutting your alarm communication line as it is a wireless cellular signal. Cellular monitoring is one of the most reliable ways to monitor a security system.

Cellular Backup | 蜂窝备用通讯

The use of stationary cellular telephone equipment to replace or supplement other means of alarm signal communication between the alarm system and the monitoring facility.

Central Station | 中央控制站

An agency that receives alarms from customers' security systems and requests the dispatch of fire, police, medical authorities or calls a keyholder based on the type of emergency.

Certification | 认证

Test certificate from independent test institute which certifies a high degree of quality and security for alarm systems.

Chime | 谐音

The name given to the noise generated by speakers and the endstation when an input is triggered. This is programmable in the attributes of each input.

Chip Key | 芯片钥匙

Electronic "key" for fast access to buildings without having to enter a code.

Cloud | 云

A cloud is essentially a third-party operated data centre that offers online storage of data that can be accessed at any time using an Internet connection.

Cloud Hosted | 云托管

Storing and accessing data and programs over the Internet instead of your computer's hard drive.

Combination Transducer | 组合传感器

A device that converts variations in to two physical quantities, such as light, sound or an electrical signal. An external siren would be an example of this using sound and light to alert.

Combined Input | 组合输入

Alarm will only be generated if 2 inputs one next to the other with 'Combined Input' attribute have been activated at the same time. This option is very useful for setting up out door perimeter protection.

Contact | 触点

A switch detects an interruption in the continuous flow of energy, just as it does in any basic electrical device. Throwing the switch up or down or side to side can either open or close that circuit depending on your goals. For most home security devices, it's much easier to use a closed circuit, so that break-ins (and not door or window closings) trigger the signal.

Contact ID

Contact ID is a signalling protocol, it contains all detail about events that are transmitted to the ARC. This includes alarms (input and area information), arm/set (area and user ID, disarm/unset (area and user ID) and system status.

Control Panel | 控制主机

The 'centre' of the alarm system, with receives information from all of the input devices such as contacts, motion detectors, glass break detectors, etc., processes the information, and triggers the output devices such as communicator, siren, strobe, etc.
