Fresnel Lens | 菲涅尔滤镜

The design of a Fresnel lens allows the construction of lenses of large aperture and short focal length without the mass and volume of material that would be required by a lens of conventional design. A Fresnel lens can be made much thinner than a comparable conventional lens, in some cases taking the form of a flat sheet. A Fresnel lens can capture more oblique light from a light source, thus allowing the light from a lighthouse equipped with one to be visible over greater distances.

这个设计可以建造更大孔径的透镜，其特点是焦距短，且比一般的透镜的材料用量更少、重量与体积更小。和早期的透镜相比，菲涅耳透镜更薄，因此可以传递更多的光，使得灯塔即使距离相当远仍可看见。
